Exchange Engineer

Our client, a large government department, is seeking the services of two MS Exchange Engineers. The contracts are both 12 months in duration, and have multiple extensions. Each role requires an NV1 clearance (this is mandatory).
 
About our requirements

The Department is seeking the services of two Microsoft Exchange/Active Directory (AD) Engineers for an Exchange and Domain Controller upgrade project. The applicant will work with a small team that, as part of the project, will undertake upgrades to Windows Server 2019 and associated Exchange and Domain Controller infrastructure. It is expected that candidates will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Highly experienced with Microsoft group policy management
  • Highly experienced with Microsoft active directory services
  • Highly experienced with Microsoft technologies including design, build, operating and troubleshooting in a Microsoft server 2012R2, 2016 and 2019 environment
  • Highly experienced with use of Domain Controllers
  • Highly experienced in active directory permission delegation
  • Highly experienced in role-based administration
  • Experienced in privileged access controls
  • Strong coordination and organisational skills with a high attention to detail
  • High level communication skills
  • Well developed interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment

Ability to analyse and resolve complex enterprise system hardware and software problems; interface with peer teams and vendors to coordination solutions.

 
Mandatory Requirements
  1. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft technologies related to the required skill set
  2. Demonstrated experience working in a government environment or similar
  3. Experience working within regular change and release cycles
  4. Demonstrated ability to solve technical issues and escalate issues within reasonable timeframes as appropriate for faster resolution

Additional Requirements

  1. Experience working in teams to produce quality outcomes
  2. The ability to translate technical information to those with a non-technical background
